2. Something rattles, pulls, or vibrates
New noises over bumps, a steering wheel that pulls to one side, or a vibration at speed can all point to suspension or frame damage you can't see from the outside.
3. Warning lights came on after the hit
Modern bumpers house parking sensors, cameras, and radar for driver-assist systems. Even a low-speed tap can knock these out of calibration - and a dashboard light may be your only clue.
4. The paint is cracked, not just scratched
